Vow and pay!  The psalmist wrote; “Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God (Ps 76:11).”  As responsible people we pay our bills, we signed a contract, we made a promise (vow) to do so.  If we do not pay what we owe, we would lose many things of value; our homes, cars, expensive toys we enjoy, etc. etc.  Most of us do this without a question, we know we should, we do it as automatically as the sun comes up and the calendar moves forward.  However, when it comes to paying what we vow to the LORD your God, we many times do not look at it with the same “responsible” mind set as we do other things of value.  “But I don’t make vows to God” many will say.  When you made a confession to be a Christian, it was a vow to give him your all, not what you have left.

What do you owe Him?  Your life!  It belongs to Him!  The Apostle Paul address this with the Corinthians; “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Cor 6:19-20

To the Christian, we will “vow and pay” our life, with a willing heart!

What a privilege to know we are His!  Everything we have, everything we are, and even our life belongs to HIM!  He has kept His promise, by the Grace of God I want to keep mine.
