Today is the anniversary of when America and the world changed forever. We call it 9/11. Our personal privacy as American’s, and the way we travel and the many things we submit to for the cause of safety has changed. Our trust or distrust toward certain elements of our so called civilized world has greatly changed – forever!
Since then other important things have changed drastically. The way the world and nature has looked at marriage from the beginning has changed dramatically. The morals of right or wrong, and common since among educated people, it has all changed.
We have a new 9/11 and it is called a virus. This virus has changed the way we thing and things we do more rapidly than anything I have experienced in my lifetime. Many of the changes this has brought have been mandated by government others are just self imposed because of fear.
It is true, everything changes, we change to grow and to develop which is positive, however the changes that have taken place over the last short twenty years have not been for the good of mankind but the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:8).
At a time like this – THERE IS A CONSTANT in a world of change and it will always remained the same – thank God! It is the faith I have in God’s eternal Word.
Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
In the time of fear and change, it can be very hard for the strongest among us to have courage to fight on with the good fight of faith. But as the LORD told Joshua when he was about to face an enemy he had never faced before; Josh 1:6 “Be strong and of a good courage…”
Jesus says to us the same; Heb 12:1 “…let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”
Take courage today!
